About the role

This role offers an opportunity to work closely with the founding members to oversee management of the members of the Coalition; monitor and evaluate progress with each of the Coalition’s four workstreams; organize meetings and convenings at regular intervals; and provide updates to members and the general public on the Coalition’s work. The Project Manager will be responsible for driving forward the Coalition’s work to meet its strategic ambitions and KPIs. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills, who can juggle multiple priorities while keeping projects on track. There will be an option of virtual working for exceptional candidates.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with Coalition objectives.
  • Manage membership applications to the Coalition with a robust and rigorous process to evaluate applications ensuring timely responses to applicants.
  • Collaborate with Workstream Leads to identify goals and KPIs to mark out clear deliverables. Coordinate towards ensuring deliverables are met within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Organize and lead regular Coalition meetings, providing space for Workstream Leads to give updates to members and giving insights on general Coalition operational updates.
  • Build community among Coalition members by organizing convenings at key global events including the Skoll World Forum.
  • Oversee external communications for the Coalition through quarterly newsletter updates and social media channels.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Coalition’s Governance Committee ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Play a coordinating role in the development and monitoring of the Coalition's budget and each of the Workstreams budgets as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, funders, and donors to support Coalition growth and sustainability.
  • Play a coordinating role in the development of fundraising proposals and annual funder updates with the Coalition Founders.

  • Demonstrable experience in project management, preferably in the nonprofit, public health, or social impact sector.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work independently in a minimal hierarchy environment, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Passion for mental health advocacy and a deep commitment to improving access to care.
