Luana DeBorst has over seven years of experience in non-profit leadership, strategic planning, project management and research across various sectors including education and youth empowerment, youth mental health and wellbeing, and refugee resettlement and social protection.
As the Associate Director at Shamiri Institute she is responsible for leading key special projects, managing internal systems, and driving process improvements across the organization.
Luana holds a Masters in Comparative and International Education from the University of Oxford and a Liberal Arts BA with a focus on International Development from Sarah Lawrence College. Luana is a Fulbright Grant recipient and an amateur polyglot, with Amharic being the latest language-in-progress.
